The sky so blue A widened canvas Stretched over a young boy Whose head knocked by a shoe Fallen from nothing But the sky so blue The boy awoken from a rain of blood As the sky was falling And the world was crumbling As he cowered beneath his desk He felt like falling apart From the coursing fear in his veins He read and wrote Till days on end John was on the phone Pointing faults at the young man He was only having a fear Of falling satellites But John believed Robin not When he met a girl online Her name she called a bore To him it was astounding A Jacqui with U and I in the end To her it was probably nothing His father left the world Her mother left the home A Jimmy sending wishes Their stories exchanged Through a screen of façade And letters all the same Robin would leave the house not Though Jacqui wanted to try The video calls were not enough And the fear was growing strong Then one night her birthday came And fireworks filled their skies She tasted his cooking She smelled his scent But he wasn’t there And to make it better They both had planned One o’clock under the bridge But only she turned up in the end He stood from afar Spilling feelings through the phone Time came she got the message The heart she had just broke Till the courier arrived again Right on her front step This time his post was human sized And both of them, They met. It’s U and I at the end Their smiles were merely struggling They beat their fear for their love’s sake Their history of falling things.

based on the drama A History of Falling Things.
